Privacy Policy

Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Tattoo Stencil (the "operator", "we", "us") handles your personal data when you use the AI Tattoo Stencil mobile apps, the web dashboard and the website at https://tattoostencil.net (together, the "Service"). The Service turns photos you upload into tattoo-ready stencils using artificial intelligence.

What data we collect

Account data

• Your email address and an optional display name.
• Your password, stored only as a cryptographic hash by our authentication service. We never see or store your password in plain text. Sign-in is by email and password only — we do not use social login providers.

Content you create

• The photos you upload to generate a stencil, and the stencils generated from them. Photos are uploaded to our servers and processed by our AI provider (fal.ai) to produce the stencil.

Purchase data

• When you buy a credit pack, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. We receive purchase metadata such as the product bought, the transaction time and an anonymized transaction identifier. We never see or store your card number or other payment details — those stay with Apple and Google.

Technical data

• Basic server logs (IP address, device/browser type, timestamps, request status) used for security, abuse prevention and debugging.

Why we process your data

• To create and operate your account and authenticate you.
• To generate stencils from the photos you upload — the core of the Service.
• To track your credit balance and apply purchases made through Apple or Google.
• To answer support requests you send us.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations that apply to us.

Processors and subprocessors

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the Service:

• fal.ai — AI image processing. Your uploaded photo is sent to fal.ai to generate the stencil.
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase management. Receives purchase metadata to credit your account.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — billing and payment processing for credit packs.
• Hosting provider — infrastructure that stores your account, photos and stencils.

We do not share your personal data with anyone else, and we never sell it.

Storage and retention

• Uploaded photos and generated stencils are kept until you delete them or you delete your account.
• Deleting your account removes all of your personal data — account details, photos, stencils and credit history. See our Account & Data Deletion page for how.
• Server logs are kept only for a short period needed for security and debugging.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the EU GDPR and, for users in Turkey, the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) — you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your data (in-app, or by emailing us).
• Object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@tattoostencil.net. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

The Service is not directed at children. You must be at least 13 years old — or older where your local law sets a higher age of digital consent (up to 16 in parts of the EU) — to use it. If we learn we have collected data from a child below that age, we will delete it.

No sale of data, no ad tracking

We do not sell your personal data, and the Service contains no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email.
